Verification Planning & Management

Verification Planning and Management is one of the key tasks of a high quality verification flow. Quite often it is underestimated. But the verification plan tells us what has to be verified with which kind of patterns, how to we measure whether a certain functionality was considered during the verification run  and finally it tells us when we are done.

For project managers it is a good means to understand the actual status of the verification process and to see the daily progress the verification team is doing.

To avoid the generation of extensive documents my appoach uses a table which gives th complete overview about the design and verification requirements as well as the responsibilities and results of verification.
